Friday night saw Bakers Waste Services scoop two awards at the 2017 Niche Business Awards.
The first award we took home on the night was the Eco-Business award, which recognises our efforts towards recycling, reducing the amount of waste that goes to landfill and our endeavours to educate others on how they can protect the environment for future generations.
We are incredibly honoured to have won this award. It is a reward for the investment we have put in to being an environmentally friendly business. From investing in the latest vehicles to reduce emissions to introducing energy-efficient lighting, reducing the amount of paperwork by moving operations online and installing solar panels to our new head office, we are committed to doing our bit for the environment.
Our second award went to our very own Paul Baker, who won the prestigious Businessman of the Year title. Paul came out on top to claim the prize in recognition of the hard work he has put in.
Celebrating our 15th Anniversary in 2017, this is a timely award for Paul to win. Recognising his success in growing the company to be one of the leading waste management providers.
A Great Night Had By All At Niche Business Awards
The awards ceremony saw all guests enjoy a three-course meal and entertainment from Bizzie Dixon. There were a wide variety of awards presented on the night, all of which celebrated the fantastic businesses across Leicestershire.
We were delighted to be announced as finalists in our two categories. After initially being shortlisted and presenting our case in front of the judging panel. We had a brilliant evening at the awards ceremony, which was perfectly topped off by our double win.
